I qualified as a dentist in 1984, having trained for five years at King’s College Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry. I started my professional career working in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery in a number of hospitals in the south of England before going into general practice.
I spent five years as a principal in Oxford before moving Bournemouth in 1992. I initially worked at Beechwood Dental as an associate dentist before becoming the principal dentist.
I attend many post-graduate courses in order to keep up with latest developments and innovations in dentistry. I have developed a further interest in cosmetic dentistry, especially adult orthodontics and facial rejuvenation and I am an Associate Member of the European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontists and have a postgraduate award in Orthodontics.
I am married with four sons and outside dentistry, I enjoy a busy family life and playing the saxophone. I am actively involved in my local Rotary Club and like to support the charity Dentaid. In 2015 I was lucky enough to travel with them to Uganda to provide much needed dental care.
